Supergreen Smoothie Bowl with Chia & Spirulina

When adding avocado to a green juice, it becomes extremely thick and the consistency is yoghurt-like. This morning, with half an avocado to spare, I turned my green juice into a smoothie bowl. Adding oats to this nutritious super green bowl adds both fibre and protein along with your daily omega 3 kick with a chia seed sprinkle. Made from start to finish in a couple of minutes, this quick and easy breakfast requires no prepping just blending!

Serves 1


1/2 avocado

1 ripe banana

1 handful of spinach

1/2 cup of oats

3/4 cup of unsweetened almond milk

1 tsp spirulina

1tsp wheatgrass

1tsp cinnamon

date syrup

1 tbsp chia seeds (optional)

water (optional)

Add all of the ingredients into a blender and blitz. Add extra water or more almond milk if the mix is a little too thick. Top with banana slices, extra date syrup and a chia sprinkle.
