Quality time with loved ones is something we can all take for granted.
I am blessed enough to be spending this Monday in Rome, with my other half in fact, celebrating my 24th birthday. A 5 day mini-break away, just the two of us, has been long overdue. Quality time is hard to find when you’re in a long distance relationship, so appreciating every moment together is incredibly important.
Whether you are spending the week ahead with friends, family, partners or even work colleagues, giving them your undivided attention and time is so fundamental for our wellbeing. Too often we get caught up in our own problems, trapped inside our tiny bubbles, transfixed with technology and social media. We need to create more space for just being, enjoying each others company, being fully present and at peace.
So this week, don’t be afraid, talk to strangers, help somebody if they look lost, lend a helping hand to those in need. It is the little things that make life worth living. And remember:
‘Time is more valuable than money, you can get more money but you cannot get more time’.
Have a happy week everyone!
